A downloadable game for Windows
This was the first ever digital world I have created. It was definitely an experience getting started with unity but I eventually got the hang of it. I started out with just placing random objects down for inspiration to get an idea of what I might want to do. I spotted the crystals and so I placed a lot of them down to decorate the valleys of the small hills I put in. I just kept on reshaping the world until it morphed into something unique to me. The world I have created is the Crystal Dessert, the crystals are planted in the grounds of the sandy dunes. After making my base foundation I decided to place down more random objects. I landed on choosing muffins, pigeons, a horse, and an onion. I tried to make the world a place where curiosity would be drawn. I am hoping that whenever someone visits this world their minds are filled with questions. I started the world with the intention of making it look like an aesthetically pleasing place to be but I ended up with a world that is unfamiliar yet still cultivates the eye in some way. Creating my own landscape and getting to shape and build whatever I wanted gave me a sense of freedom and control at the same time. I want this world to serve as a place where maybe inside a video game, the gamer has to find the tunnel and locate where it must go next- kind of like a transitional zone. Since it was my first time using unity, I would like to highlight how interesting it was to discover the variety of objects that could be utilized. I was surprised to see the amount of miscellaneous objects that could be a part of my world. Although it took a minute to get familiar with how everything worked, I can now say I have made a 3D world!
