A downloadable game for Windows
When building my world, I was inspired by nature, forests and gardens with one specific architectural feature, like a bridge, as a focal point among lots of greenery. So I created a scene with a lot of different types of green plants and trees around my world, as well as different animals like deer and multicolored fish, a small river that runs into the ocean below, and dark gray mountains surrounding the scene. In the ocean, there are blue and red fish, pink starfish, snakes, and hidden pyramids below the water. Above, in the forest, I included families of animals to make it feel more realistic, like a mother doe and fawn, schools of fish, and a family of ducks. I wanted to create a feeling of serenity and calm with the muted, natural colors and the animals all around. I also wanted players to have a sense of curiosity and explore the world to find small details, like a small duck lost from its family, a wolf looking at the family of ducks, the deer standing on the bridge alone, and other moments. For example, hidden behind the mountains, there are a giant shark, duck, elephant, and polar bear, so people playing the game might be surprised if they decide to climb over and around the tall mountains to the back of the world where they wouldn’t expect to see more animals. I don’t think there is any story that would take place in my world. One of my favorite parts of this world is the sharp, geometric mountains behind the more organic structures of the trees and leaves and the different colors that work in a harmonious way. Overall, my goal with this project was to explore and experiment with this new and unfamiliar software and become accustomed to it.
