A downloadable game for Windows
My game is placed on a floating island with a river flowing through it and a mountain range that kind of keeps things inside. There’s a wooden shack with a campfire and some villagers surrounding it. Walking along the river, you’ll see a small bridge with a man catching fish. At the end of the river, there’s a wolf with a fish in its mouth. It caught it, presumably. There’s other stuff too. There’s a big elephant in the distance. Big isn’t the right word I guess. It’s bigger than the island and it’s its protector. Like a deity. The player is Buddha. No, that’s not true, but the elephant part is. Do buddha and elephants have a connection? There is a small wheat and corn farm established behind the shack, which serves to feed the island’s human inhabitants. Periodically, the native deer will eat the crop and cause food shortages. Very fragile food chain in place. Two deer on the whole island and they’re both male. And there’s a hungry wolf too. So maybe fragile isn’t the word, but “temporary”. The island is doomed!! From a mammal perspective anyways. Actually probably not because even if all the deer die, the crops will still grow and the people can become vegetarian. Or vegan. Or the wolf will get them.
On the mountain the river originates from, there is a large rat that has hoarded cheese on the rocky slopes. He is very gassy because his gut microbiome is used to plants, but recently has had to process lots of cheese. Much more dense caloric source for sure, which is good for a wild animal. But some digestive difficulties. There is also a moonshine stand out back against the shack. They use the fruit from the apple and orange orchard to make drinks! These drinks alleviate the tense social scene on the island and also serve as a catalyst for the human reproductive rate. There is a massive apple far below the island, which would be an incredible food resource for the islanders. They’re discussing a way to get there..? Along with the elephant, there is also a massive woman underneath the island. Humanoid in form and not much else. She has been there since the island’s creation (as the elephant has). The islanders call her “mother”.
