My world is inspired by simple beachfront  cabins or motels. I love the beach very much, and marine biology is one of my interests. Despite it being expensive, I would love to someday live at the beach. My favorite beaches are in Florida and in California. I have snorkeled through a kelp forest once and it was very gorgeous. I also like beaches in Brazil. Rio is very beautiful and I would like to return. I think we need to take better care of the ocean. I also love nighttime. The beach at nighttime to me is such an inherently beautiful combination. The waves crashing at night, the sand, the view, the way some lights reflect off of the water, the way hermit crabs change shells at night, it’s beautiful. My original idea for this simulator was to make a beachfront town like Miami or Monterey, with a boardwalk, old buildings and restaurants, and tourist shops with random interesting things and deadstock items. My ideal world would sound like crickets, street musicians, and busy restaurants with waves softly crashing in the background. It would smell like salt water taffy, good marinara sauce, crayons and lemon flavored deserts. I recognize that my world is relatively simplistic as a walking simulator, and I have to say that it is heavily because I have never done this before. I wasn’t allowed to play video games until I was twelve, and even then I have never had a setup, much experience in coding, or much skill in that realm. This project has definitely given me a massive appreciation to people who are talented at coding and in 3d modeling. I truly hand it to you as artists because this was not easy for me at all. I struggle with the unfamilliarity, the new software, and the lack of computer and video game knowledge that I possess. I did enjoy this project, as it was interesting to try a new thing that I find challenging. I feel that this really did encourage me to push my boundaries and try a lot of things that made me uncomfortable, which I usually hide from.
